§ 18-24. Additional information to be included in plans, estimates, etc., of street paving or sewer improvements.

    The city engineer shall provide for and include in the plans, specifications, quantities and estimates of the expense for the improvement of any street or part thereof, by paving or otherwise, the work and material necessary for the proper grading of the same and making the proper grade and connections with the pavements or grade of the streets at its termination and of all intersecting streets.

    2.

    If the improvement is the construction of a sewer, the city engineer shall, in like manner, provide for and include the making of all connections with intersecting sewers and the construction of sewer inlets to be laid therefrom for the use of the owners of the abutting property at such distances apart as he may prescribe and carried to a point beyond the curbing and gutter on each side of the street, said work to be performed as a part of and included in the expense of the improvement.
