§ 10-2. Cemetery property and grounds; prohibited acts.

  • No person shall:

    (a)

    Trespass in any manner upon any of the cemeteries referred to in this chapter;

    (b)

    Leave any horse or vehicle standing in any avenue, street or path therein;

    (c)

    Fasten or cause to be fastened any horse therein in any other place than at posts provided for that purpose;

    (d)

    Leave any horse unfastened therein;

    (e)

    In any manner injure or destroy any tree, shrub or plant, or crush, gather or destroy any flower, either wild or cultivated, any herbage, or the fruit or product of any such tree, shrub or plant therein;

    (f)

    Ride upon, soil, deface, remove, displace or in any manner injure or destroy any monument, stake, post or other structure in or belonging to any of said cemeteries;

    (g)

    Deposit or cause to be deposited any unclean or offensive substance therein; or

    (h)

    Discharge any firearms therein, or in any other place within the city with the intent that the contents thereof shall enter any of said cemeteries.

    Children under the age of twelve (12) years are prohibited from entering or visiting any cemetery within the city limits unless accompanied by a parent or proper guardian. Children's carriages are prohibited from entering such cemetery grounds unless permission first be obtained from the sexton thereof.
