§ 1-10. Enforcement of the Revised General Ordinances; summons and complaint.

The chief of police shall be authorized to prescribe a form of summons and complaint to be issued in cases involving a violation of any provision of these Revised General Ordinances, or of any ordinance, local law, rule or regulation adopted by the common council and to establish procedures for proper administrative controls and disposition thereof.

The summons and complaint provided for in this section shall be issued by the members of the department of police of the city of Syracuse or by such special police as may be deputized by the department of police pursuant to section 5-1402(2) of the Charter of the City of Syracuse—1960.
