§ 2-58. Violations.

  • (a)

    It shall be a violation of this article for any person to fail to secure an alarm system permit prior to July 1, 2014, for any existing intrusion, fire, holdup and medic alert alarm system. Likewise, it shall be a violation of this article for any person or alarm company to place an alarm system into service after July 1, 2014, without first having secured an alarm system permit.

    (b)

    It shall be a violation of this article for any person to fail to pay the annual fee for an alarm system permit for each alarm system regulated by this article.

    (c)

    It shall be a violation for any alarm company which is responsible for collecting the annual fee for an alarm system permit from a person to fail to collect the application and the annual fee for each alarm system regulated by this article.

    (d)

    It shall be a violation for any alarm company which is responsible for collecting the annual fee for an alarm system permit from a person to collect the fee and thereafter fail to remit said payment to the city of Syracuse.
