§ 2-17a. Furnishing copies of records of department of public works; fees therefor.

The department of public works shall be entitled to demand and receive upon the issuing and delivery of transcripts or certified copies of traffic counts or transcripts or certified copies of other records or reports on file with said department, which may lawfully be given, a fee of one dollar ($1.00) thereof for each such transcript or certified copy issued.

Transcripts or certified copies of records or reports shall be furnished free of charge by the department of public works to the state of New York or any political subdivision thereof, including the county of Onondaga and the city of Syracuse or any bureau, office or department thereof.
