Any person procuring a ground transportation license as an owner or operator of a
taxicab or airport bus as provided in section 25-4 of this chapter, shall pay to the commissioner of licenses of the city of Syracuse,
prior to the issuance of the license the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00) during
the period July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012; and three hundred dollars ($300.00)
for each annual period from July 1 to June 30 thereafter. Such applicable fee shall
be paid for each motor vehicle operated under the license. The transition period to
this revised fee structure shall be governed by section 25-10A of this chapter. The fee for new ground transportation licenses fee issued in any
month other than July of each annual period from July 1, 2011, forward shall be prorated
based on the month issued (i.e., issued in August the three hundred dollar ($300.00)
annual fee shall be reduced by twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the period to the
succeeding July 1 to two hundred seventy-five dollars ($275.00)). There will not be
any prorated fee for a renewal of such ground transportation license.
